Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Have you ever stopped to think about what is written in that short verse? Even more intriguing is to ask the question, “How did He do that?” God took nothing and simply spoke and made something. Then He took what He had created and hung it on nothing and it stayed. A little closer to the sun and it would disintegrate; a little farther away and it would freeze. He set it in motion at the exact speed and axis and it remained so. If it slowed down, things would go flying off of it, including us. If it speeded up the force of gravity would crush everything, including us. This same God who did all of that invites everyone of us to a personal relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. While we cannot understand all that is involved in Genesis 1:1, we can experience it and know that it is real, just as we can experience God’s amazing, unconditional love for us. Think about that today when things become confusing. God is still there because the earth is still there, and He wants to be a large part of your life.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
